This policy explains what BlueCrew Market ("BlueCrew Market", "we") collects when you use bluecrewmarket.com, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Enquiries and contact forms: your name, email, phone number, message, which listing you asked about, and any boxes you tick (for example alerts about new listings).
- Accounts: name, email, a securely hashed password (or your Google sign-in), and what you do in your account — saved listings, listings you create, messages and billing status.
- Listings you publish: the business details, photos and documents you add.
- How you found us: the ad campaign or link that brought you here (UTM tags and ad click IDs such as gclid or fbclid), the first page you visited and the referring site. We keep this in your browser for up to 90 days and store it with any enquiry you send, so we know which ads work.
- Technical data: IP address (for security and rate limiting), browser type, and server logs.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
How we use it
- To pass your enquiry to the seller of the listing and to reply to you.
- To follow up with you about the business you asked about and similar opportunities listed on BlueCrew Market. You can ask us to stop at any time.
- To run accounts, listings, billing and alerts you asked for.
- To measure and improve our advertising and website.
- To prevent spam, fraud and abuse, and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
- Sellers: when you enquire about a listing, the seller receives your enquiry and contact details.
- Service providers who run parts of the site for us: hosting (Railway), email delivery (Resend), payments (Stripe), sign-in (Google, if you choose it) and AI features (Anthropic, only for the listing text you ask the AI tools to work on).
- Advertising measurement (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel) — only if those tools are switched on and, where required, only after you accept cookies.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Cookies and similar storage
We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your choices, plus the 90-day "how you found us" record described above. When we are trying out more than one design of our home page, two of our own cookies (kept for a year) remember which design you were shown and hold a random visitor number, so we can see which design leads to more enquiries; they are not shared with anyone. Advertising and analytics cookies are only set if they are switched on and, for visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland, only after you click Accept. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and account data are kept while they are useful for the purposes above — normally up to 3 years after your last activity — unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires us to keep them longer (for example billing records).
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop contacting you, by emailing hello@bluecrewmarket.com. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA; we will not treat you differently for using them. If you are in the EU or UK you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
BlueCrew Market is for adults buying or selling businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
